SHAWNEE COUNTY — Law enforcement authorities are investigating a fatal shooting and have identified the victim as&nbsp;28-year-old D’Angelo L. Payne of Topeka.

Just before 11:30p.m. Saturday police responded to the area of SW 5th and SW Western in Topeka after a report of gunshots being fired and a vehicle that had crashed, according to Lt. Ron Ekis.

Police located Payne who had been shot. He was pronounced deceased at the scene. Police have not reported an arrest or additional details.
