LYON COUNTY —One person died in an accident just after 11p.m. Tuesday in Lyon County.
According to the Lyon County Sheriff's Office, a 2002 Hyundai Elantra driven by Serena Tovar, 23, Emporia, was northbound in the 600 block of Kansas 99 near Olpe. The vehicle left the road, traveled into the ditch and rolled.
A passenger identified as Cynthia Floris-Rosas, 22, Emporia, was pronounced dead at the scene.
EMS transported Tovar and passengers Alondra Perez, 24, and Bethany Torres, 22, to the hospital in Emporia
Flores-Rosas was not wearing a seat belt, according to the Sheriff's Department.
