If you have questions email Riley County health officials at rileycountycovid19@gmail. com. Health Director Julie Gibbs said Monday that if you are experiencing symptoms ranging from shortness of breath and fever to a cough call the screening line at 785-323-6400. "The days ahead will be long and though it may be tough to do at this time please try to stay positive."

Gibbs noted on behalf of the EOC and the county health department she thanked the public for their support and cooperation. We strive to keep you safe and informed so that we can continue to be that great community."

Gibbs said during COVID-19 the main message is to stay at home and only venture out for essentials such as food, gas or healthcare. "It will affect some businesses that are deemed nonessential and nonmedical."

One activity that is still allowed is to go outdoors. "Most definitely we want you to get out, enjoy some sunshine and fresh air. Please do so by keeping that social distancing, six feet between you and another person. Try to avoid large groups."
