Manhattan — Law enforcement authorities are investigating an alleged criminal threat in Manhattan.
Just before 9:30p.m. Monday, officers filed a report for aggravated criminal threat involving a 15-year-old boy, according to the Riley County Police Department activity report.
Jason Pearson Jr., 15, Manhattan, is accused of making threats on social media. He is a student at Manhattan High School's east campus. The threat did not involve the school, according to police.
Police arrested him while at the Riley County Police Department on a requested charge of aggravated criminal threat.
Police released no additional details.
