RCPD asks for help to identify driver as part of investigation

RILEY COUNTY — Law enforcement authorities are investigating an attempted burglary and want to identify a person pictured in the vehicle.

The building in the background is located and Riley County and was recently the target of an attempted burglary, according to a social media report from RCPD. 

We would like to speak to the person in the vehicle to determine if they have any information.  Contact the Riley County Police Department if you have any information.

Citizen's call helped RCPD catch Manhattan burglary suspect

MANHATTAN —A 27-year-old man is confined in the Riley County Jail after three local businesses were burglarized Friday night in Manhattan.

Just after 12:30a.m., officers arrested Oliver Henry, 27, in the 1800 Block of Claflin during an attempted burglary at Kellstrom Pharmacy.

The Shop Quik located in the 1100 block of Scenic Landing and Candlewood Health Mart located in the 3200 block of Kimball were burglarized a short time earlier. It is believed all three incidents are connected. 

Henry is being held on on a $15,000 bond on requested charges that include three counts of criminal damage to property, 2 counts of burglary and attempted burglary. 

Police also thanked the citizen who called in to 911 to report suspicious activity at Kellstroms so officers could quickly respond.
