RCPD: 73-year-old woman reports purse theft

MANHATTAN —Law enforcement authorities are investigating a purse theft in Manhattan.

On Tuesday, police filed a report for theft in the 1800 block of College Avenue. A 73-year-old woman reported an unknown suspect took her purse and contents inside. The estimated total loss associated with this case is approximately $861.00.

Police ask that anyone with information please contact RCPD or the Manhattan Riley County Crime Stoppers. Using the Crime Stoppers service can allow you to remain anonymous and could qualify you for a cash reward of up to $1,000.00.

KSU police ID suspect for alleged lewd, lascivious conduct

MANHATTAN — The Kansas State University Police Department has identified a suspect in a recent incident of alleged lewd and lascivious conduct.

Police responded to the report on Wednesday, Jan. 29, at the K-State Student Union in a men's restroom.  A male victim reported that an unknown male suspect revealed his genitals while in the restroom, according to a media release from KSU.

There is no ongoing threat. K-State Police thank the community for information that led to identifying the suspect.

The K-State community is encouraged to continue to stay aware of their surroundings and use available resources such as Wildcat Walk, the LiveSafe app and the Silent Witness website.
