POTTAWATOMIE COUNTY — Law enforcement authorities are investigating four suspects wanted in Geary County.
On Monday, the Wamego Police Department received an anonymous tip of possible fugitives wanted in Geary County for aggravated burglary and aggravated battery, staying at the Simmer Motel, 1215 US-24, according to a social media report from police.
With assistance from the Kansas Highway Patrol, Wamego police apprehended four suspects and they were taken in to custody without incident.
According to Police Chief Michael Baker, Sr., "At no time did I feel the citizens were in danger. If you heard or saw a helicopter in the area, this was why. KHP provided extra assistance from the air."
