KANSAS CITY— A Kansas City Fire Department released the name of the firefighter-paramedic who died Tuesday during a training exercise.
Kyle Brinker, 33, was a ten year veteran with KCFD with the Rescue Division at Station 35, according to the city.
Just before noon, KCFD crews conducted a training exercise when a Brinker experienced a medical emergency.
He was taken to North Kansas City Hospital and was pronounced dead at 1 p.m.
Brinker is survived by a wife and his brother, who is also a Kansas City firefighter.
