Kansas Wesleyan's Daniel Harkin (FR/Manhattan, Kan.) posted a 2-0 record in singles and a 2-0 record in doubles to earn KCAC Men's Tennis Player of the Week honors as selected by conference sports information directors.
Harkin had a great week for the Coyotes. He went 2-0 at both singles and doubles on the week.
He had a huge win in singles over Oklahoma Wesleyan's Jose Catala in three sets. Then, he teamed up with Alex Sherer (FR/Rossville, Kan.) to beat Jose Catala and Jose Catala Ortiz in doubles 6-3.
On Saturday, he beat Hash from Sterling 6-0, 6-1, then teamed up with Sherer in doubles again to beat Lee and Hash 6-1.
Harkin is 3-4 this spring in singles and 3-4 in doubles, but has won three straight matches. He's helped the Coyotes to a 3-5 record overall in spring duals and a 2-0 Kansas Conference mark.
The Coyotes take on Friends on Tuesday in Wichita.
