SEDGWICK COUNTY —Authorities investigating a fatal weekend motorcycle crash have identified the victim as 35-year-old Yaihir Vepez Morales of Wichita.
Just after 10p.m. Friday, Morales was driving a Suzuki motorcycle eastbound on 37th Street North with a group of others on motorcycles, according to officer Charley Davidson.
He lost control of the motorcycle on a curve near 37th Street North and Oliver. The motorcycle struck the curb and Morales was ejected from the motorcycle.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
It is the fifth fatal motorcycle in Wichita this year, according to Davidson.
