KANSAS CITY— Law enforcement are investigating another deadly shooting in Kansas City.
Just after 11a.m. Wednesday, the Kansas City Fire Department was responding to a medical call at the Georgian Court Apartment Complex in the 400 block of E. Armour Boulevard in Kansas City, according to Battalion Chief Michael Hopkins.

The fire department crew on scene heard the gunshots and requested Police emergency response and additional resources.
One patient was treated and and transported in critical condition. He died a short time later, according to Kansas City Police. The original medical call was handled by the additional resources ordered, according to Hopkins.
Responding officers located a person of interest near the scene. The potential suspect was being held on a 24-hour investigative hold.
A preliminary investigation led police to believe that there was a confrontation between the victim and the person of interest prior to the shooting. KC Fire crews were not in danger at the time of the shooting, according to Hopkins.
