KANSAS CITY—One person died in a hit-and-run incident on Monday in Kansas City, Missouri.
A pedestrian was standing on the left shoulder of westbound 210 Highway at N Chouteau, according to KCPD Officer Alayna Gonzalez. An unknown vehicle struck the pedestrian, throwing the person into the grassy center median.
The vehicle left the scene without stopping. The pedestrian was declared deceased at the scene. Police don't know exactly when the pedestrian was struck. This is fatality #20 compared to #38 at this time last year. Police have not released the name of the victim.
