JOHNSON COUNTY—Law enforcement are investigating an armed disturbance that injured an man on a construction site.
Just after 8:30p.m. November 7, police were dispatched to an armed disturbance in the area of West 167th Street and South US 169 Highway in Olathe, according to Police Sergeant John Moncayo.
A reporting party stated unknown subjects dressed in all black and armed with handguns entered a warehouse under construction. It was also reported that there was an employee inside that was tied up. Officers arrived and secured the perimeter of the warehouse. The adult male employee was subsequently located, and officers were able to safely remove him from the scene. The man was treated by medical personnel for non-life-threatening injuries.
A search of the warehouse was completed, and no one was located inside. The police department is currently following up on active leads.
