BARBER COUNTY—One person died in an accident just before noon Thursday in Barber County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a Peterbilt tractor truck driven by Joshua David Wayne Rainey, 40, Enid, Oklahoma, was westbound on K2 just west of Kansas 8 highway.
The driver maneuvered around the railroad crossings. A train collided with the truck.. Rainey was pronounced dead at the scene and was transported to Lanman's Mortuary. The KHP reported no additional details.
