
SHAWNEE COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities are investigating another shooting in Topeka.
Just before 3a.m. Saturday, police responded to the 400 Block SE Locust in Topeka on reports of gunshots in the area, according to Lieutenant John Sturgeon.
Officers located evidence consistent with the usage of a firearm(s) in this area. While on the scene investigating, an adult male arrived at a local hospital suffering from gunshot injuries.
Although the injured person was unwilling to share information with investigators, officers were able to determine he was involved in the incident on SE Locust.
Police reported no additional details Saturday afternoon.
This is the fourth reported shooting in Topeka since Monday. Three have died due to the gun violence including a 13-year-old girl.
