DOUGLAS COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities are investigating a shooting in Lawrence that sent a victim to the hospital.

Just before 11:45p.m. Monday, police responded to the 100 Block of Arkansas Street in Lawrence, according to a social media report.

Responding officers found the victim, a 33-year-old man, who was transported to an area trauma center for treatment of gunshot wounds that are not believed to be life-threatening.

Officers located the area where the shooting took place nearby, and crime scene technicians processed the scene for forensic evidence. Detectives continue to&nbsp; follow up on leads. No one is in currently in custody.

33-year-old hospitalized after shooting in Lawrence
