
SEDGWICK COUNTY—Law enforcement are investigating a deadly shooting at a youth football game in Wichita.
Just afater 7p.m. Thursday, police responded to a shooting at Grove Park, also know as Glen Day Park, located in the 2800 block of North Grove in Wichita, according to a statement from police.
An off-duty detective was on scene working security for the youth football game with an estimated 200 to 300 spectators in attendance.
During the event, the off duty detective heard the gunshots and responded to the direction of where the shots were fired. A 32-year-old man was located near the parking area suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to his upper body.

The off-duty detective immediately began providing life-saving measures until EMS arrived. The victim was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced deceased at 7:29 p.m.
Police had no suspect description available early Friday.
