Sheriff: Kansas woman tried to bribe deputy during traffic stop

JACKSON COUNTY–Law enforcement authorities are investigating a suspect on multiple allegations after a traffic stop.

Just after 1:30p.m. March 30, a Sheriff’s Deputy conducted a traffic stop on a Dodge Dakota pickup for a traffic infraction on 134th Road east of U.S. Highway 75, according to Sheriff Tim Morse.

A Jackson County K-9 alerted to the presence of illegal substances inside the vehicle. A search of the vehicle resulted in the seizure of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.

Police arrested the passenger of the vehicle, Haley Rose Slusser, 32, of Topeka, on requested felony charges of attempted bribery, possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to Morse.
