 </figure>SHAWNEE COUNTY — Law enforcement authorities are investigating an injury accident that sent a child to a hospital.Just after 8:30 p.m. Sunday, police responded to SE 6th and Lake in Topeka and found a child with critical injuries after being struck by a vehicle, according to Lt. John Trimble.An ambulance transported the child to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. Police interviewed the driver and witnesses.&nbsp;Police released no additional information late Sunday.
