MONTGOMERY COUNTY—One person died in an accident just after 11a.m. Wednesday in Montgomery County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2012 Lincoln MKH driven by Bradley A. Posey, 21, Rockwood, TN., failed to yield at the intersection of U.S. 400 and U.S. 169 and struck the front of a northbound 2013 Ford E350 Van driven by Jim Lavine, 46, Diboll, Texas.
EMS transported Posey and passengers in the Lincoln Devin Thurman, 15; Jasmine R. Thurman, 13; Laily A. Thurman, 5, all of Rockwood TN.,to Labette Health were Devin Thurman died.
Lavine was not transported for treatment. All five were properly restrained at the time of the accident, according to the KHP.
