KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Kansas City Chiefs Quarterback Patrick Mahomes has cleared the NFL's concussion protocol.

The 25-year-old suffered an apparent concussion that removed him from last week's AFC Divisional Round Playoff game against Cleveland.

During Friday's media availability, Mahomes spoke to the press and announced that he had cleared the five-step protocol and was officially available for Sunday's AFC Championship game against the Buffalo Bills.
