WYANDOTTE COUNTY —The victim in a weekend homicide in the 600 block of Ridgeview in Kansas City, Kansas, has been identified by police and the suspect has been charged.
The victim identified as Asael Linares, 36, was a resident of the home.
Martin Daniel Lopez, 18, has now been charged by the Wyandotte County District Attorney with second degree murder. He remains in the Wyandotte County Jail on a $250,000 bond.
This incident remains under investigation by the KCKPD Major Case Unit. Anyone with information on this case is urged to call the Crime Stoppers TIPS hotline at 816-474-TIPS (8477). All tips remain anonymous and may qualify for a cash reward. All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
