Gus Freeman laced a hit to right-center field in the bottom of the ninth inning, knocking in Price Allman and Dalton Nelson with the tying and winning runs in a 4-3 victory for the Junction City Brigade over the Topeka Golden Giants Saturday night at Rathert Field. Freeman ended the game with two singles and two walks. He also scored one run.
The Brigade rallied from an early 3-0 deficit to get the victory.
In an earlier game Saturday evening at Rathert Field the Brigade also defeated the Golden Giants 4-0.
Junction City will host the Lawrence Travelers Thursday and Saturday nights of next week at Rathert Field.
