KANSAS CITY —Law enforcement are investigating a hit-and-run incident involving a bus that sent a pedestrian to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The pedestrian was inside a marked crosswalk, crossing 6th Street at Wyandotte from south to north, according to KCPD Sergeant Phil DiMartino.
A white unknown type of passenger bus was making a left turn from southbound Wyandotte to eastbound 6th Street. The bus struck and ran over the pedestrian and then left the scene without stopping.
EMS transported the pedestrian was transported to a local hospital in critical condition. Just after 6p.m. police reported the bus had been located and the driver was cooperating.
