BELLEVILLE -- The Belleville County Health Department announced today that its offices are temporarily closed due to an employee testing positive for COVID-19."The health department has been temporarily closed to thoroughly clean and sanitize all surfaces. Employees who did not test positive will return to the office on modified quarantine. Appointments for in-office services will resume October 22. No one from the public has been exposed other than employees," the health department noted in a news release on the <a href="https://www.facebook.com/RepublicCountyHealthDepartment/">department's Facebook page</a>.COVID-19 testing is still available through the health department and will resume as full PPE is used at all times, the news release noted. Persons who need tests are asked to contact the health department to schedule appointments.Additionally, the health department reported that all home health services will continue as normal as those employees have not been exposed.
