Police make arrest in series of Kansas burglaries

SHAWNEE COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities investigating a series of burglaries to a car wash in the 6100 block of SW 29th Street in Topeka have made two arrests.

On Friday, police arrested Kip L. Lehman, 49, and Sonny J. Blanton, 52, both of Topeka and booked into the Shawnee County Department of Corrections, according to Police Lt. Shane Hilton.

 Lehman is being held on requested charges that include counts 7 of Burglary and 7 counts of Theft. Blanton remains jailed on requested charges that include 5 counts of Burglary and 5 counts of Theft.
