K-State Football Partners with NextPlay to Support Players, Alums

MANHATTAN, Kan. – The K-State football program has announced the launch of the Catalyst mobile app in partnership with NextPlay, facilitating lifelong support for Wildcat athletes from the moment they enter the program through the rest of their lives.

“The Catalyst mobile app is a great way for us to directly connect with our former football players who helped build this great program,” head coach Chris Klieman said. “It is vital for us to maintain those relationships, which became harder with the pandemic. This is just one way to keep them engaged with the program virtually in between their visits back to Manhattan.”

Connecting with its former players has always been important for K-State Football through Golden Cats and various outreach initiatives, and Catalyst will add even more value for former and future Wildcats. The app gives former players an inside look into the program that they helped to build, bringing them closer to their alma mater. It also serves as an exclusive platform for former player events and includes a directory where former players can connect with their teammates and current players can seek mentorship or career support. 

In the NIL era, the support from former players has become that much more valuable. Current student-athletes will be able to lean on the generations who came before them for advice and support as they navigate new opportunities. The Catalyst platform will continue to build on the legacy of success both on and off the field at Kansas State.
