Correction: Kansas man injured after SUV strikes a tree

Correction: Due to an error posted on the Kansas Highway Patrol crash log, according to Trooper Michael Racy. The story has been corrected.

PAWNEE COUNTY—A Kansas man was injured in an accident just after 6p.m. Tuesday in Pawnee County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 1994 Nissan Pathfinder driven by Clifton Wade Rodriguez, 35 Larned, was southbound on Kansas 19 two miles south of the K19 East junction.

The SUV traveled into the west ditch. The driver overcorrected, traveled into the east ditch and the SUV struck a tree.

EMS transported Rodriguez to the Pawnee Valley Community Hospital for treatment of serious injures. He was not wearing a seat belt, according to the KHP.
