2 hospitalized after rollover crash during chase by Kan. deputies

SCOTT COUNTY—Two people injured in an accident during a chase by law enforcement just before 12:30a.m. Thursday in Scott County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported the Scott County Sheriff's office was in pursuit of a 2002 Nissan Altima driven by Monica Renee Garcia, 33, Ogallala, NE, eastbound on County Road 290 at North Omaha Road one mile east of U.S. 83.

Garcia lost control of the Nissan.  It traveled off the road to the south and rolled.

EMS transported Garcia and a passenger in the Nissan David Paul Nuno, 24, Kearney, NE, to the Scott County Hospital.  Garcia was also not wearing a seat belt, according to the KHP.   Nuno has been booked into the Scott County jail, according to online jail records.
