
GREENE COUNTY, Mo. —The pilot of a small plane was forced to make an emergency landing Saturday in Missouri.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the aircraft made the "off-field landing just before 1 p.m. on U.S. 65 one and one half miles north of Interstate 44 near Springfield. "
The pilot and one passenger were not injured. The mishap affected traffic for a short time until they plane was removed. The FAA and NTSB will investigate. The Patrol released no additional details.
