
KANSAS CITY (AP) — Police identified on Monday the man who was killed during a weekend altercation at a Missouri gas station.
Officers responded Sunday to a call about a disturbance involving a person armed with a gun at a Kansas City, Missouri, gas station.
When they arrived, they found a man unresponsive next to a vehicle who appeared to have been shot. He was declared dead at the scene. Police identified him on Monday as 28-year-old Jayvon McCray.
The person who called police said the victim had gotten into an altercation with another person which led to shots being fired.

KANSAS CITY (AP) — Police are investigating a Sunday shooting at a Kansas City gas station that left a man dead.
Officers were dispatched to a gas station in Kansas City, Missouri, just before 3 p.m. on a disturbance with a person armed with a gun, the Kansas City Police Department said in a news release.
When they arrived, the officers found a man unresponsive next to a vehicle. He died at the scene.
The person who called police said the victim had gotten into an altercation with another person which led to shots being fired.
Other officers stopped a vehicle that had been described by witnesses as leaving the scene before police arrived. Its occupants are in custody pending further investigation.
Police are processing the scene and trying to piece together what led up to the shooting.
