
SHAWNEE COUNTY—Law enforcement authorities are investigating a deadly shooting and have identified the victims.
Just before 6 p.m. Tuesday, police responded to report of a possible shooting at a home in the 2100 block of SW Plass Avenue, according to Police Captain Jerry Monasmith.
First responders located two unresponsive adults with life-threatening injuries who were later pronounced deceased by medical personnel at the scene. On Wednesday, police identified them as 24-year-old Kiarra Hazelton and 31-year-old Dontae E. Knight both of Topeka.
Detectives are investigating the case as a possible murder-suicide.
