SEDGWICK COUNTY, Kan. — The Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office arrests a former Sedgwick County Department of Corrections employee on a charge of unlawful sexual relations with an inmate.

On Monday, deputies arrested Jonah Kriston Bundy, 29, of Goddard, and booked him into the Sedgwick County Adult Detention Facility, according to a media release from the sheriff's office.

In January 2026, the Sheriff’s Office received a report of an alleged inappropriate relationship and began an investigation. Detectives determined Bundy, who worked as a correctional officer at the Sedgwick County Adult Residential Facility, allegedly engaged in a relationship with a client in December 2025.

Bundy resigned his position with the Sedgwick County Department of Corrections before the investigation.

The case will be presented to the Sedgwick County District Attorney’s Office for charging consideration.
