OSAGE COUNTY—Two people were injured in an accident just before 8p.m. Friday in Osage County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2021 GMC Sierra driven by Clinton W Fagen, 45, Shawnee, Kansas, was westbound on Kansas 31 just west of S Jordan.
The driver pulled to the right shoulder and made an illegal U-turn in front of a westbound 2008 Ford Expedition Fire and EMS vehicle with lights and sirens activated on the way to a call and driven by Gary D. Kitt, 62, Melvern.
The SUV and pickup collided. After impact the pickup became disabled on the highway and the SUV became disabled in the north ditch.
EMS transported both drivers to Stormont Vail in Topeka. Both drivers were properly restrained, according to the KHP.
