Following a 45-38 victory over the Southwest Kansas Storm on Saturday, it was announced that two members of the Liberty had been named CIF players of the week.
In his debut for Salina, newly acquired QB Ed Crouch put on a show, racking up 179 all-purpose yards under center, tossing five touchdowns through the air, and adding one on the ground while surrendering just two interceptions on the day.
For his efforts under center, Crouch was named CIF Offensive Player of the Week, while Liberty Kicker James Kazalski collected CIF Special Teams Player of the Week honors.
Kazalski was perfect on the day, contributing eight points in the seven-point victory, knocking down all five extra points and a critical field goal to help deliver Salina the win.
The Liberty will be back in action on Saturday with a non-league home game against the Queen City Insane Asylum.
