OTTAWA COUNTY—Two people died in an accident just after 9p.m. Saturday in Ottawa County.
According to the Ottawa County Sheriff's office a UTV occupied by Steven Hovey and Michelle Knight from rural Ottawa failed to stop at an intersection and struck a car three miles north of Bennington.
Knight was pronounced dead at the scene. EMS transported Hovey to an area hospital where he was pronounced deceased. The driver of the car was not injured. Knight and Hovey were not wearing seat belts.
The accident remains under investigation.
