KANSAS CITY —Law enforcement are investigating another homicide in Kansas City, Missouri.
Just before 6p.m. Monday, police were dispatched to a shooting at 9th and Prospect, according to Officer Alayna Gonzalez.
Officers arrived on scene in less than one minute, and located a victim in a business parking lot suffering from apparent gunshot trauma and unresponsive. EMS transported the man to an area hospital with critical injuries. Officers received an update from the hospital the victim had died of his injuries.
Preliminary information provided to officers indicated multiple individuals entered the store and were involved in a physical altercation with another man that ultimately resulted in shots being fired.
Responding officers escorted several bystanders out of the area to safety while canvassing for any potential suspects.Multiple individuals were taken into custody for further questioning. Currently, we are not looking for any additional suspects, according to Gonzalez.
