RILEY COUNTY - Following the overnight snow in Riley County, officials with the Riley County Fire District #1, have posted that burning of brush piles will be permitted for the remainder of the day on Tuesday, March 26th.

Due to the snow on the ground and the expected favorable conditions on Wednesday, March 27th, brush pile burning is permitted for those within the county who have active burn permits.

RCFD#1 says this could be the last opportunity until May for brush pile burning.
